2023 Fall Hobbies for Home & Office Décor #self-care #giftable

2 women carrying autumn fall hobby supplies. wicker basket, leaves

I was doing some shopping today and was shocked to see all the Fall stuff laying around. Everything was orange, yellow, and dare I say it... Halloween-y! My creativity kicked in and I headed straight for the arts and crafts aisle to see what I could make. If I learned nothing else from arts and crafts, it is that we can’t turn up our nose to a good giftable hobby. You could turn a mason jar from the dollar store into a $25,000 idea. At the very least, you could redecorate your home or office with a few light touches. Having a creative outlet is a huge part of my self care journey. So here is my list of 2023 fall hobbies for home & office you can do for self-care, turn into giftables, or use to decorate your space. To shop each item for yourself, you can click on the picture or the hyperlinks in the descriptions.

1.Fall Vase Making. If you already have a good vase handy, then now is the time to change out those Summer flowers for Fall. I love using artificial flowers so I don't have to feel guilty when they parish due to dehydration. Plus, this is a giftable idea. You can make one for yourself and a few for friends. This 6 piece display of fall eucalyptus leaves are perfect for your home or office’s floral arrangement. It doesn't have a scent, but one trick I use is to place the fake flowers in front of a flower scented plug in...no one will ever know.

1a.Classic Vase Making. Another option you have is the dried pampas grass look. There is something nostalgic about neutral colors in the fall. I grew up in the city my whole life, but I like the idea of running my hands through a wheat field. With this décor, I like to keep the stems long (they come in 17-inch lengths, but you can cut them to your preference). This is great for kids and pets who like to touch things, as the grass is soft to the touch. For an extra touch of elegance, add some white marbles to the bottom of a clear vase to add depth. Beautiful!

2. Fall Wreath Making. The next cute idea is to design your own Autumn wreath. This DIY wreath kit comes with flowers, a 12-inch wreath base, floral wire, and wire cutters. It's a great way to greet your family and friends for Thanksgiving. You can add other things if you want, and the extra floral wire lets you attach whatever you like. This versatile wreath can be displayed anywhere in your home, such as your front door, fireplace, living room, or backyard. It can also hang in your office to liven it up, and it's a great gift. This product doesn't have many reviews yet, but it's still worth considering if you're looking for a DIY wreath kit.

2a. DIY Front Door Sign. Another option is an Interchangeable front door sign that's a little less high maintenance. It's also 12 inches in diameter. The base is made of wood and can also be used for Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, 4th of July, for fall décor for home, harvest day, Halloween, and Christmas. You can switch seasonal icons to change the scene. This is one of those items that your kids will cherish for years to come. It's perfect for families to enjoy together, or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.

3. Scented Candle Making Kit. This candle making kit is the perfect gift for friends and family. It comes with everything you need to make beautiful, scented candles that look like they were made by a professional. The kit includes soy wax, black candle jars and tin cans, fragrance oils, dye blocks, candle labels, wicks, glue dots, melting pot, pipettes, stirring spoon, and more. Soy wax burns longer and cleaner than other types of wax, making it a great choice for aromatherapy. Order your kit today!

4. Fall Pillow Covers. This is by far the easiest hobby, because you're just collecting covers you like and changing them when you want to. I love to add a touch of fall magic to my home décor with these 4, 18 x 18 inch polyester Fall Pumpkin Home Sweet Home Throw Pillow Covers. They come with the sayings Thankful Grateful Blessed, and Home Sweet Home, and the images of fall floral decorations and a pumpkin. When the season is over, you can easily switch them out for other pillow covers. No harm, no foul, and Super Cute!

4a. Plaid Fall Pillow Covers. My favorite feature of these throw pillow covers is their versatility. You can easily mix and match the two sets to match your décor. Also, did anybody else notice the fall plaid trend that's spreading? You can literally create your own unique look. Their specs are almost identical to the pillow covers above and come with the sayings Thankful & Blessed and Fall, and have the images of a Fall Pick Up truck and a Pumpkin.

5. Fall Tiered Tray Décor. Tiered trays always make me think of cupcakes. LOL. Anyway, this rustic 14-piece fall wooden cutout set features brightly colored motifs of pumpkins, maple leaves, and trucks. Handcrafted from wood, it is sturdy and reliable, lightweight and reusable, and sure to last for generations. Display it on your shelves, tables, fireplaces, countertops, or desks to add a touch of fall charm to your home or office. And don't be afraid to add a cupcake or 2!

6. Mixed Pumpkins. The last item on the list is like the ketchup of Fall hobby decorations because it can go with anything! These foam pumpkins are perfect for wreath making, livening up a floral arrangement, or adding to a tiered tray or a candle holder for a touch of fall. They come in 14 assorted pieces, and the maple leaves are silk-like. Another great idea is throwing these little guys in a wicker basket or cornucopia and placing it as an arrangement for Thanksgiving. Can you say magnifique!?

Now that we've gone through my list, I encourage you to get creative! Remember, art is a great way to relieve stress and show someone you care.
